Orlando Magic Set to Air Spanish Version of Midnight Magic
Magic a la Medianoche presentado por Metro PCS kicks off February 5 on Telemundo
Orlando, FL – The Orlando Magic will begin airing a weekly Spanish version of their late-night TV show, Midnight Magic, on February 5 at 12:30 a.m. on Telemundo. The show, which will be presented by Metro PCS, will feature a pair of familiar voices to Magic fans, as Orlando Magic Spanish radio broadcasters Joey Colon and Ramon Rivas will co-host the program each week.
Magic a la Medianoche presentado por Metro PCS will have the same format as the current Midnight Magic broadcasts and will feature player interviews, game highlights and overall information on the entire NBA. The half-hour show will keep the same time slot throughout the remainder of the Magic’s season. This is the first Spanish-only programming of its kind to be produced by the Magic and Orlando will be one of only a few markets to broadcast a half-hour TV show in Spanish.
"We are proud to offer programming excellence, sports information and entertainment to our Hispanic Orlando Magic fans,” Orlando Magic Vice President of Community Relations and Government Affairs Linda Landman Gonzalez said. “The Hispanic market segment is extremely important to us and we look forward to presenting this weekly television program to those fans.”
Season ticket highlights for 2007-08 include: a franchise-most 8,417 seats priced $25 or under per game, a $25 lower bowl ticket, and for the 10th straight year, tickets priced at $10 per game.
