All eyes will be on Chris Wilcox this season, as the play of the former Maryland Terp is viewed as a determining factor to the LAC playoff hopes this season. "He has the tools and is familiar with our system and is really big key to our success," says Head Coach Mike Dunleavy. "If he has a great year then we will definitely make the playoffs. For a team looking to end an eight year playoff drought, there's a lot of pressure in those words. However, Wilcox meets such expectations with enthusiasm. Its great knowing that [Coach Dunleavy] has the confidence in me to go out and perform and it motivates me to go out and play well for him, responded Wilcox. Whatever my role is, Im going to bring energy. I want to fit in wherever my team needs me and most importantly, win games. If Chris can return to the form that saw him explode out of the gate in 2004-05, the LAC attack will be a formidable one for any opposing defense.

Legendary broadcaster Ralph Lawler checks in with his preseason player predictions:
"His season flamed-out after a promising start last year, but he remains a bundle of promise in that splendid 6-10 frame. He just turned 23 and as he makes the transition from being primarily an athlete to being primarily a basketball player---he's going to be downright scary."
Our opinion on Wilcox? Buy, buy, buy. With veteran leadership, stronger perimeter shooting and up-tempo point guards surrounding him, Chris should benefit the most from the Clippers' offseason moves this summer. His wide-open game is suited for heady point guards like Sam Cassell and Shaun Livingston and the outside shooting of Corey Maggette and Cuttino Mobley will make it difficult for opponents to double Wheezy in the post. The result? More highlight plays, more development from Wilcox and more points for your roto team.
