Zeljko Rebraca brings many things to the 2005-06 Clippers, but none more important than his knowledge on what it takes to win. As one of the most decorated international players during the 1990's, Rebraca hoisted championship hardware in eight of his first ten seasons to start his professional career. He's battle-tested in crunch time and, as one would expect, has an array of offensive weapons befitting a veteran big man. "'Z' really has a lot of moves down there," remarked teammate Elton Brand after a win last season. "He has a wide arsenal of moves, up and unders, jump shots, fakes. We see it in practice, [and its] good to see it in games." Re-signed to a multi-year contract this August, Zeljko will continue to team with fellow 7-footer Chris Kaman this season to give the Clippers a strong post presence on both ends of the court.

Legendary broadcaster Ralph Lawler checks in with his preseason player predictions:
"The Clippers were dead last in 3PT field goals made last season. Here's the remedy : "Cat" was the league's 3rd most accurate long-range bomber in 2004-05. He'll stretch the court for the Clippers' post players. A major addition."
Big Z may find an increase in playing time this season, which should peak the interest of fantasy owners looking for a backup center. Last season, Rebraca's averages jumped to 13.0 ppg and 7.0 ppg when he was on the floor for at least 24 minutes. Additionally, his field goal percentage also benefited from increased minutes, as he jumped from 33% shooting and 7.1 minutes per game in November to 57.1% and 20.0 minutes per game in March. So keep an eye on Zeljko and his minutes. It could grab you a sleeper at center.
