NBA.com: Boniface N'Dong Player Profile

|

Boniface N'Dong joins the Clippers after winning over the coaching staff this preseason. He first grabbed the attention of the Clippers Basketball Operations department after a very strong showing with Denver's 2005 Vegas Summer League squad as he poured in 8.7 ppg on 54.1% shooting. Yet when he arrived in the Clippers Training Camp, many observers viewed him as a longshot to make the team. As time passed, however, his athletic package and willingness to work intrigued both the Clippers coaches and players. In the Clippers' final preseason contest of 2005, he frustrated the Seattle defense by hitting 18 foot jumpers and working in the paint. More work is needed on his 205lb frame, but we like the passion Boniface shows whenever he steps on the floor.

Legendary broadcaster Ralph Lawler checks in with his preseason player predictions:
"He might be the biggest surprise coming out of the eight game exhibition schedule. He went from after-thought to second-thought with his play in
the final two preseason games. He's athletic. He runs the floor. He blocks and makes shots. The 28 year old rookie is a keeper."
As Ralph Lawler states above, N'Dong is athletic, runs the floor, blocks and makes shots. However, its doubtful that the rookie will see significant minutes off Coach Dunleavy's bench. On the floor, we're confident he'll be a great backup center for the 2005-06 Clippers, but we aren't hanging our hat on that statement in regards to fantasy hoops.
